Assistant or Associate Professor of Social Work

Chatham University has an immediate opening for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Social Work. This key position will be responsible for coordinating the field education component of the social work curriculum and teaching in our Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited Bachelor of Social Work program.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teaching a 2/2 course load, 12 credit hours
  • Administering all aspects of our field education program including:
    • Student placement
    • Oversite of students in the field
    • Development and maintenance of relationships with community agencies
  • Develop and maintain an active research program
  • Advising students
  • Participation in college-wide academic initiative

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in social work or a closely related discipline
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW)
  • Two years of post-MSW practice experience are required
